Just Cause developer is making its "largest and greatest" triple-A project yet, according to job listing
Barrage Studios Group is known for its work on the Just Cause series, Rage two, and the 2022 Mad Max game adaptation. Now information technology's working on something both new and very big, according to a job listing.
Spotted by Exputer, Avalanche has two job openings that give us a clue about its side by side projection. The animation programmer list asks for someone "to bring together the largest and greatest AAA project [Barrage has] always taken on." The art director listing piggybacks on this, saying that Barrage is "crafting [its] next cut edge AAA open-globe game." It also name-drops the aforementioned Just Crusade, Mad Max, and Rage 2, implying that this is something different from those.
In fact, information technology is probable not related to any of their prior works, including Avalanche'southward co-op smuggling game Contraband. That was announced during Xbox'southward press briefing at E3 2022, so there'south no reason to exit its name out of the chore list if that is indeed what the new hire volition be working on. This other project could exist what Motorstorm veteran Paul Rustchynsky is working on, however. Rustchynsky joined Barrage to head its Liverpool location at the start of 2022, and the studio volition be announcing its first game this year. That said, the job listings are meant for Södermalm, Sweden, and so this unannounced game could even be a third project separate from Contraband or Rustchynsky's game.
